Today is officially the last day of school for my kiddos — I think this year has gone by at record speeds. I’m scrambling to figure out what we can do this summer to stave off the dreaded I’m Boreds!
My oldest Attalie and I have decided to embark on a craft-a-day project this summer — I think our first one will be to print and assemble these super-cute flashcards I spotted as a free printable over at NicolesClasses.com. Attalie loves using the corner rounder punch so that could be her job.
These are perfect for Miss Piper, who’ll be starting Kindergarten this fall. In fact, maybe I can even talk the girls into “playing school” with them and let Attalie quiz Piper with the flashcards instead of me — think it will work?

Oh I love these flashcards, but it would just eat up my ink in my printer. Any suggestions of what I could do to get these printed elsewhere?
Hi Britni, Great question! This project would definitely make a big dent in your ink cartridge which is why I NEVER print projects with high ink coverage at home. I always take them to a local copy center like Office Max or Staples. Because their printers are laser you’ll get nice, vibrant colors and the prints are usually around 50 cents a page so you can get this flashcard set printed for about $6.
When does school resume? I am curious. In Ontario we attend from September (early) to late June.
Our kids will go back to school mid August.
