Since it’s a very important election day here in the United States we wanted to first of all remind everyone to go out and vote, but second we thought we’d share this fun new book that was sent to us for review. I was a huge fan of the Amelia Bedelia books as a kid, and Harper Collins recently started publishing new books of Amelia Bedelia’s childhood years.
In Amelia Bedelia’s First Vote the school principal allows the children in Amelia’s class to vote on a new school rule. Of course it’s filled with the too-literal misunderstandings that are typical of an Amelia Bedelia story (like the “runoff” shown below), but that only makes my girls love the story all the more.
Bettijo is a co-founder and designer here at Paging Supermom. More importantly, she is a mother of three girls so she spends much of her day listening to them sing along to Hannah Montana. During quieter moments, she enjoys art, retro-modern design, photography and making new things. In 2003 Bettijo founded an organic bath and spa products brand, Bath By Bettijo, which has been regularly featured in national magazines including Real Simple, Martha Stewart Living, Whole Living, O, EveryDay with Rachel Ray, Health, Lucky, Shape and more.
