Easy St. Patrick’s Day Kids Craft

While admittedly anything involving paint and toddlers, can’t be considered super easy, but this “Leprechaun Handprints” St. Patrick’s Day Kids Craft is SO worth it because it’s probably the one kid’s project I’ve cherished the most over the years. I always smile when I pull it out each March to put on the mantle.

Of course you could make green leprechaun handprints on any piece of cardstock, but I think my free printable template with the name and date plate makes this extra adorable!

We are lucky that one set of grandparents are right here in Phoenix with us, but my husband’s parents live up in Wyoming. We get to see them only a couple times a year, and so I thought it would be fun to send them a little St. Patrick’s Day surprise. I had my little leprechaun’s help me make these handprint cards that I know Grandma is going to love.

Print and download our free Leprechaun Handprints template which includes a nameplate so Grandma can identify those green handprints! You’ll just need to print out the template on white cardstock, and then cut out each card. You will make the handprints on the blank back side! Using a foam brush, cover each child’s hand with green craft paint and stamp it onto the cut cards. Miss Modette’s hand (she is not quite two) was the most difficult to stamp (obviously!), so I had a few extra cards ready to go and then picked my favorite print.

SUPER-TIP: Print a few extra cards in case you have any mishaps!

If you have more than one little leprechaun, tape the cards together leaving a very small space between them so you can easily fold them up accordion style. If you have just one little guy, you can do a print of both hands and tape them together.

Now these are ready to mail in a size A7 envelope.

I used the extra cards to create an accordion of my four little leprechaun’s handprints for myself. I put it up on my mantle every March. I just love seeing those little handprints each year!

  1. not sure I ever -really- gave up believing in hotbibs or fairies or vampires, for that matter. It’s the difference between scientific truth and emotional truth. It is unlikely that those things exist in the way that we have them in books and stories, but there is more to heaven and earth than is dreamt of in your philosophy. Belief in something beyond your own logic makes a lot of things possible, including creative thought and paradigm shifts not to mention Christianity. How you explain that to a 7 year old is a little more difficult. I recall asking my 10 year old about other things that he did believe in that he couldn’t prove and talked to him about how not everything true is science, and not everything in science is true.

  2. waffle game is a hot word game. Different from the daily version. Waffle offers an unlimited version that you can play until you get bored. Your task is based on the characters given in the box. Change the position of the characters so that all the vertical and horizontal rows of the row align into meaningful words. You have 15 moves. After 15 attempts, if it fails to move the characters to the correct position, waffle will end.

  3. Wonderful article. This blog is impressive, and I’ve been checking it frequently. Very helpful knowledge, especially the end section where the wheel spinner forced me absorb a lot of information. This knowledge has been on my wish list for a while. Greetings and best of luck! moto x3m unblocked
